Dublin Pubs
Nowadays, Irish pubs can be found all over the world!

Modern day Dublin is one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities. It’s an exciting and dynamic city with a young population and multicultural mix of people.

The energy in the capital is unmistakable. Dublin has an excellent nightlife and some of the best pubs (and Guinness) in the world. It’s also complimented by a fantastic selection of restaurants, art galleries, cinemas and countless other attractions.

Dublin City has the privileged position of being located right between the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains and Dublin bay, to the east.

Dublin Bay, with its massive sweep of coast stretches all the way from Howth in the north to Dalkey Island in the south. You’ll get a birds-eye view of the bay as you approach by airplane from Europe - a fine introduction to one of Europe's finest capitals.

Although Dublin is quite small, there are hundreds of things to do and plenty of places to see. There’s a wealth of interest for the visitor; from century-old architecture to modern day drum n bass clubs; from top of the range designer shops to cozy local pubs with traditional Irish music, serving first class Guinness.

Dublin has always had strong music connections. The undergound club and DJ scene is one of the best in Europe. Also live music can be found in all parts of the city. Check out Whelans, The Brazen Head, Hogans, The village, Spirit and The Red Box, Fibber Magees and Fusion.

The areas surrounding Dublin city are well worth a visit. There’s plenty of things to do and see. You could go for a walk along Dun Laoghaire peer or on Sandymount strand, have lunch in Dalkey, go to the pubs in Blackrock or Johnny Foxes in the mountains, go trekking in the Dublin mountains, climb the Sugar Loaf mountain, go to the beach in Brittas Bay…the possibilities are endless.

Most places can be reached by car and bus or alternatively by DART (link) or LUAS (link here) (both types of government transport).

The price of a pint of beer here can be shocking! and sometimes it’s impossible to get a taxi, but apart from that, Dublin is an absolute must for any visitor to the Emerald Isle.
